It is located only 55 Kilometers from Salvador. Praia do Forte is a wonderful fishing village which belongs to Mata de São João area. Praia do Forte is easily accessible from the Estrada do Coco Highway. It is very famous for the many natural swimming pools formed by the reefs. The water is so clear that you can see colorful fishes and marine life. Surfing and diving can also be practiced along Praia do Forte´s beautiful beaches.
The fishing village is very tranquil during the day, but offers many options for fun at night including, restaurants, dancing and live music shows.
